Hunters Point Family has found that many participants who aren’t motivated by traditional classwork respond strongly to education through the arts.  For a sample of such a success, read the Bread Me Out Family story.

The Everything Arts! approach includes

•      Dance classes and performances
•      Music composition, production, and recording
•      Mural classes and projects
•      Journalism classes
•      Film development and production

In addition to expanding the minds of the youth, these offerings provide a venue for young people in which to express their emotions in a positive way. They have created beautiful mural projects and music CDs that have sold thousands of units throughout the Bay Area. Funding was recently received from the San Francisco Arts Commission for HPF youth to create a "talking mural" that will be featured along the Third Street Light Rail project. HPF’s artistic projects have won awards at the Sundance Film Festival and the Museum of Modern Art.
