Many residents of Hunters Point do not have access to basic nutrition.  Children suffer both mentally and physically from eating too much junk food and skipping meals.

Healthy Lifestyles provides youth with:

•      Nutrition education and workshops
•      Access to distribution of healthy foods through HPF's food pantry
•      Cooking classes
•      Employment and training in urban farming, landscaping, and the
       sale of organic produce through HPF’s urban farm and farmers
       market

Currently the Hunter's Pint Family collaborates with Friends of the Urban Forest to create a tree nursery in the Double Rock Urban Farm.
